Be wary of poor quality import imitations…

…they can, and sometimes do… fail. Poorly designed low quality products could fail under actual live H-20 conditions, and sometimes do as you can see, and are a hazard to safety and a liability for your infrastructure. Photo shown is of a “cast-iron” ? manhole cover probably made in somewhere in India as markings required by federal law are visible on the top of this cover, but the manufacturer is not. Federal law requires that the country of origin be clearly visible on TOP of products imported to the U.S.

For your H-20 rated cast iron manhole cover needs, insist on buying only American made products.
